About the Author.
Kaimelis Minis autorė, tautodailininkė Agnė Trik, jau nuo vaikystės mylėjo, rinko sumažintus daiktelius, kūrė lėlių namus, siuvo, lipdė, klijavo, svajojo apie mažus namelius, kuriuose tarsi viskas tikra. Kiek vėliau ėmėsi svajonės ir pradėjo kurti mažų namelių ir miniatiūrinių daiktų kupiną kaimelį.

Small houses and their everyday life reflect the history of Lithuania. The exterior and interior of the miniature houses have been recreated based on the stories of the elders, photographs, preserved old houses, as well as by reading various Lithuanian folk tales, traveling through villages, and visiting museums.
Creating the houses is a work of great patience, ingenuity, and love. Through the visuals of the pieces, the aim is to recreate the most realistic depiction of the old Lithuanian village, its naturalness, and authenticity, in order to preserve and nurture ancient values. The works are filled with various miniature items, tablecloths, woodcrafts made by artists, clay "uzbonėliai" (small figurines), created to immortalize and cherish the uniqueness of the Lithuanian countryside. To bring magic and authenticity to the works, Agnė writes rhymed tales and records them.
The pieces are made using a variety of materials — paper, cardboard, plaster, epoxy resin, various paints, varnishes, fabric scraps, and natural materials collected from nature (wood, plants, moss, pebbles, small trees, etc.). To achieve the most realistic look, various techniques are applied — materials are constructed, glued, toned, carved, molded, and sanded. Later, the details are sewn, knitted, and cut out. All of this gradually transforms into impressive works of art.
